Last July I joined Twitter to finally figure it out. I was looking to grow my business on a national level and I knew that Twitter would be a good place to start. I began connecting with real estate agents all over the world. During that time I discovered a hashtag called #ICSF. I saw a lot of agents and industry people using it. “What the heck is #ICSF?” I thought.
I dug deeper into this #ICSF hashtag and found that people were using it for the Inman Connect conference in San Francisco. I started following this hashtag for a week during the conference. I was jealous that I wasn’t there! It sounded amazing, fun and educational. I decided that week that I would do anything to be at #ICSF in 2015. I knew it wouldn’t be easy. It’s not an inexpensive trip and it is hard to walk away from business for a week. It’s even harder to be away from my family and ask my husband to hold down the fort for a week. With three little kids that is no small task!
But I knew in my heart that the Inman Connect conference would be a game changer for me. I knew that if we could pull it off financially and logistically that I had to do it. So in April when the early bird discount ticket came out I bought it. “Yikes!” I thought to myself. Here I go!
In May Inman announced an application for Ambassadors at the conference. I had seen the previous Ambassadors on Twitter tweeting great information from the conference. Another speech I am excited to hear is “How I am marketing my $100 Million Dollar Island in Central America.” Sure that isn’t a normal transaction, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t takeaways for agents. I have to single out the dating speech as one I can’t wait to hear!
